Visitors to Heron Lake State Park in north central New Mexico on Saturday, February 20 will have a golden opportunity to see and learn about bald eagles in the wild. The state park Friends group is hosting the first ever Bald Eagle Watch at the park Visitor Center from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Raptor experts from The Wildlife Center in Espanola will be on hand with a live baldy and other educational birds to talk about raptor habitat, habits, and rehabilitation.
